As the third and final chapter in The Legacy Series, this Glengoyne bottling pays tribute to Sir Arthur John Tedder, who helped shape the distillery’s style in the late 19th century. The single malt matured in selected American oak sherry casks and is limited to 1,000 bottles. This official bottling was released at 48%, has a rich texture and contains no added colouring; it is also non-chill-filtered.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Berry jam and apple strudel form the succulent fruit character of the deep sherry notes. Cinnamon and vanilla add spicy and sweet accents, while a delicate pear note completes the aromatic profile.
• Palate: Rum-soaked raisins and spiced fruit loaf open into a rich, silky palate. Caramelised apple tart and creamy sherry develop into a balanced combination of fruit, sweetness and spice.
• Finish: Pineapple and dried fruit lead into a lingering finish of dark chocolate and warming spice.

Distillery/Bottler:

Glengoyne Distillery produced this Highland single malt and released it as an official bottling. Established in 1833, the distillery is located in the southern Highlands. It uses air-dried, unpeated barley and distils particularly slowly. In this chapter of The Legacy Series, maturation is shaped by American oak sherry casks.
