Motörhead 50 Years of Rock & Roll Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky 12 y.o.

Volume: 0.7 litres | Alcohol content: 58% | Chill filtration: No | Colouring: No

Special Features:

This twelve-year-old Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky was created as a limited edition celebrating 50 years of Motörhead. It matured in American bourbon casks and is bottled at its natural cask strength of 58%. The release comprises 1,500 individually numbered bottles, each presented in specially designed gift packaging.

Heavily peated barley and the additional influence of sherry casks shape this whisky. Alongside smoke, leather and spicy oak, it offers roasted nuts, subtle citrus notes and an oily texture. It is bottled without chill filtration or added colouring.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Intense peat smoke dominates the nose, accompanied by leather. Vanilla and caramelised oak add softer nuances to the robust aroma.
• Palate: On the palate, sooty smoke and bitter dark chocolate meet spicy oak. Delicate sherry notes and sweet toffee round out the powerful flavour.
• Finish: The long finish remains smoky, with soft caramel and ripe apricots lingering alongside.

Distillery/Bottler:

Lemmy Kilmister founded Motörhead in June 1975. The British band helped shape the punk and heavy metal scenes with its distinctive sound. For the anniversary in 2025, this Highland Single Malt was released alongside a limited rum edition, with specially designed packaging for both spirits.

Sweden’s Live Brands Factory AB is behind the drinks project. The company develops food and drinks in collaboration with established brands and artists, linking product development with their brand identities.
