Special Features:

Full maturation in Oloroso sherry casks defines this eight-year-old Clydeside. The casks come from the family-run Antonio Páez Lobato cooperage in Jerez and are seasoned with Oloroso for 24 months before use. This intensive cask preparation supports the interplay of fruit, sweetness and spice, with citrus fruit and tropical notes providing a brighter counterpoint.

Distilled in 2018, this whisky was released in 2026 as the first Clydeside single malt with an age statement. The worldwide release comprises 350 cases. It was bottled at a batch strength of 55.5%, without chill filtration and with its natural colour.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose combines berry compote, dark sugar syrup and tea leaves.
• Palate: The palate reveals cherry sweets alongside orange and pineapple.
• Finish: Roses, cinnamon and almonds emerge on the finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

The Clydeside Distillery stands on the River Clyde in Glasgow and began operating in 2017. It occupies the former pump house at Queen’s Dock. Built in 1877, the building originally supplied hydraulic power for the swing bridge at the dock basin, linking today’s distillery with Glasgow’s maritime history.

For this release, Clydeside uses only Scottish barley and water from Loch Katrine. The distillery’s working methods include fermentation with dried yeast in stainless-steel vessels for around 72 hours and carefully controlled distillation in copper stills. The team regulates the steam supply and uses temperature and alcohol measurements to select the desired heart cut.
