Special Features:

For this limited release, a finish in Madeira Malvasia Casks follows maturation in bourbon casks. Paddy Foley, who oversees cask maturation at Dingle, selected whiskey from the distillery's early stocks for this thirteen-year-old single malt. Honeyed sweetness, dark fruit notes and spice shape its character.

The whiskey was triple distilled. The 2026 release comprises 1,632 individually numbered bottles, each containing 0.7 litres. Dingle bottles it at a cask strength of 51.3%, without chill filtration or added colour.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, honey and sun-dried fruit mingle with candied citrus notes, toffee and vanilla.
• Palate: On the palate, dark chocolate and sticky dates meet spicy oak. Cloves and cinnamon round out the flavour.
• Finish: The long finish reveals delicate spices, nutmeg and the sweetness of sugar syrup. Pome fruit notes and a hint of toasted oak then emerge.

Distillery/Bottler:

Dingle Distillery is located in the Irish-speaking west of County Kerry, on Ireland's Atlantic coast. Oliver Hughes, Liam LaHart and Peter Mosley founded the independent distillery in 2012, having previously been active in the Irish craft beer scene. Their aim was to produce whiskey in small batches. Distillation, maturation and bottling all take place in Dingle.

The equipment includes a wooden mash tun, wooden fermentation vessels and copper stills; many stages of production are carried out by hand. The distillery uses Irish grain and water from its own well. Its maturation warehouses are close by. Bourbon casks provide an important foundation for its cask selection: subsequent maturation in selected wine casks is intended to complement the distillery's own character rather than obscure it.
