Special Features:

For the third edition of Profil Équilibre, Neisson blends two differently matured rums: one from an American oak Oloroso sherry cask and another from a French oak cask previously used for Cognac. Maturation of the Oloroso component began on 24 October 2024, while the Cognac cask component began maturing on 1 July 2024. For the portion matured in French oak, Neisson uses a former Cognac cask from Allary. The blend is adjusted to an alcohol content of 52.5%.

This limited edition was once again created in collaboration with Martinican artist Carole Aurore. On the blue bottle, she combines pictorial symbols with script-like artwork that has no fixed, readable text. In the glass, the rum displays a luminous golden colour.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, walnuts and raisins mingle with a hint of candied citrus fruit, particularly orange.
• Palate: The rum is delicate and precise on the palate. Pepper, nutmeg and vanilla take the lead, while subtle woody notes give the flavour structure.
• Finish: Spicy and woody notes linger through the sustained, balanced finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

Neisson's story began in 1931, when Adrien Neisson acquired land on the Thieubert estate in Le Carbet and planted sugar cane. Together with his brother Jean, he established the distillery, whose foundation was officially confirmed in 1932. In 1995, Jean's daughter Claudine Neisson Vernant and his grandson Grégory Vernant took over responsibility for the family business.

Neisson makes Rhum Agricole from sugar cane juice. The distillery uses its own yeasts, originally selected from its sugar cane plants, for fermentation, which lasts 72 to 120 hours. Continuous distillation then takes place in an all-copper Savalle column. This still has been in operation since 1952 and was technically refined by Jean Neisson. All production is bottled on site.
