We're now offering a new, extremely flavorful single cask from the Blackwater Distillery in very limited quantities in our shop. It's a truly experimental offering: Blackwater Stardust Spicebag, a smoky Irish Peated Rye Whiskey with 55% rye. It also contains malted barley, oats, and peat-malted barley. Distilled in June 2020, the whiskey was aged in a Tempranillo wine cask. The oats skillfully soften the savory spiciness of the dominant rye influence. Aromatic plum notes from the Spanish wine cask add a subtle undertone, layered with the gentle smoky notes of the peated malt. The single cask yielded 400 bottles at 50% ABV.
