In addition to Blackwater Stardust Spicebag Irish Peated Rye, we also have another single cask from the distillery in our range. With Blackwater Planxty Wilcox, the distillery celebrates traditional Irish pot still whiskey with a mixed mashbill of different grains. Named after Blackwater Head Distiller John Wilcox, Blackwater Planxty Wilcox exudes the aromas of unmalted and malted barley, as well as wheat, oats, and rye. While the current definition of pot still only allows for a total of 5% complementary grain, the proportions in this mixed mashbill are significantly higher. The whiskey, distilled in 2018, rested in a 2nd fill ex-rye cask. The distillery bottled 450 bottles at 47.5% ABV.
