Special features: The Micil Inverin Small Batch Whiskey is a blended whiskey that combines five carefully selected components. These include both grain and malt whiskeys with different distillation and aging histories. The triple finish in re-charred ex-bourbon casks, Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, and a chestnut wood-influenced Poitín cask gives the blend remarkable complexity and depth. The distillery was opened in 2016 as the first distillery in Galway in a century and continues the tradition of the Ó’Griallas family, which traces back to the illegal distilleries of their ancestors.

Distillery/Bottler: The Micil Distillery was founded in 2016 by Pádraic Ó’Griallas in Galway, Ireland, as the first new distillery in the region in 100 years. They connect to the history of the family, whose great-great-grandfather operated an illegal distillery in Connemara in the 19th century. The young distillery combines traditional methods with modern whiskey craftsmanship and places great emphasis on regionality and artisanal quality.
