Special Features:

This artisanally composed pot-still blend is the first bottling in the Ensō range. Its fruity, floral character makes it suitable for enjoying neat as well as in cocktails and highballs.

The components of the blend come from various Japanese distilleries and mature in American oak casks; the individual distilleries are not disclosed. Caramel, light vanilla, delicate dry cask notes and gentle spices shape its character. The 0.7-litre bottle is bottled at 40% and offered without gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Soft vanilla, caramel and toffee come together on the nose. Tropical fruit then emerges, with floral nuances appearing in the background.
• Palate: The blend feels smooth and full-bodied on the palate. Vanilla and caramel are accompanied by butterscotch, subtle cereal notes and light fruitiness.
• Finish: The finish is mild and balanced. Vanilla and fruit linger alongside dry cask accents and gentle spice.

Kiyokawa Co., Ltd. bottles the whisky. In Japanese, the brand name Ensō refers to a circle drawn with a single brushstroke in the Zen tradition. The brand draws on this symbol of the uniqueness and completeness of the moment, linking it to an intentionally open and creative approach to whisky.
