Special Features:

Kiyoko combines freshly pressed yuzu juice with Junmai sake. The fruit is sourced directly from selected farmers, harvested by hand and sorted for quality. It is then immediately pressed together with its peel. The juice used is neither concentrated nor blended with additives or artificial flavourings.

Its smooth texture brings out the layered flavours of yuzu peel on the palate.

With 10% alcohol, this aperitif can be enjoyed on its own over ice or in a spritz with Prosecco and mint. Give the bottle a brief shake before pouring to distribute the natural fruit components evenly.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: An intense scent of fresh yuzu leads on the nose, accompanied by gentle floral notes.
• Palate: Lively, aromatic yuzu appears first on the palate. Tart, slightly savoury citrus notes and citrus blossom follow.
• Finish: A delicate, fresh and tart yuzu note lingers through the long finish, accompanied by balanced sweetness.

Distillery/Bottler:

Kiyoko is made in Kansai on the Japanese island of Honshū. Its production draws on a tradition spanning more than a century. The yuzu fruit comes from the mountainous south of Japan, where abundant sunlight and pronounced temperature variations favour its cultivation.

The sake base is made from Gohyakumangoku rice and Miyamizu water from Mount Rokkō. The Tōji, the master brewer responsible for production, balances this Junmai sake with pure yuzu juice. The aperitif thus brings together the two key ingredients from Japanese brewing and fruit processing.
