Mars Kasei White - Blended Whisky

Volume: 0.7 litres | Alcohol content: 40% | Chill filtration: Yes | Colouring: No

Special Features:

Kasei White is the white-labelled version of Mars Blended Whisky intended for Europe. Its carefully refined recipe combines malt and grain components with the aim of giving the blend greater balance and character. Bottled at 40% alcohol, it offers a silky texture and an approachable fruity core. Kasei White is a blended whisky, but it does not meet all the criteria of the industry designation “Japanese Whisky”.

The aroma combines white flowers and ripe fruit with a subtle smoky note. On the palate, honey, green apple and white grape gain definition, while citrus, vanilla and light smoke shape the elegant aftertaste. Kasei White therefore remains soft and approachable without becoming aromatically one-dimensional.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals white flowers, soft ripe fruit and a subtle smoky note.
• Palate: The whisky is rounded and silky on the palate, led by warm honey, green apple and white grape.
• Finish: Citrus and vanilla combine with light smoke in an elegant finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

Hombo Shuzo Co., Ltd creates Kasei White for its own Mars brand and releases the whisky as an official bottling. The company obtained its whisky licence in 1949 under the guidance of distillation expert Kiichiro Iwai. The Mars brand name was selected through a public naming competition.
