Special Features:

This four-year-old Japanese Pure Malt is a blended malt made by marrying malt whiskies. It spends its final twelve months finishing in Mizunara oak casks. The rare Japanese oak adds distinctive spice and dry wood notes to the smooth malt character. The whisky is bottled at 40% in a 0.7-litre bottle.

The aromatic profile brings together honey, red apple and vanilla with clove. Caramel, malt, nuts and candied peach lead into peppery oak and a subtly tart grapefruit note.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Ripe red apples and a creamy honey note define the bouquet. Subtle clove and oak, together with gentle vanilla and caramel notes, add further depth.
• Palate: The whisky is smooth and malty on the palate, accompanied by candied peach and delicate nutty notes. Caramel, oak and vanilla remain in balanced harmony.
• Finish: The long, balanced finish combines peppery oak with restrained bitterness and a subtly tart grapefruit note. Spiced honey and vanilla cream linger.

Distillery/Bottler:

The whisky is produced by SAN.foods Co., Ltd. in Japan's Yamanashi Prefecture. Founded in 1976, the company has held a whisky production licence since 2014. At its Nirasaki facility, its spirits operations encompass the production and distillation of base spirits as well as blending and bottling.
