Special Features:

This three-year-old Japanese blended whisky matured in American white oak casks with a cherry wood component. It is bottled at 43% alcohol by volume.

Its smooth, straightforward and fruity style combines pronounced floral notes and honeyed sweetness with cherry, herbal bitterness, cedarwood and a lightly smoky finish.

The bottle contains 0.7 litres and comes in gift packaging. The whisky is chill-filtered and contains no added colouring.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals honey blossom and cherry blossom alongside geranium, violet and light honey, with a subtle peppery spice providing a delicate counterpoint.
• Palate: Manuka honey, vanilla and cherry combine on the palate with silky stone fruit and almond notes. Lemon verbena, cedarwood and a structured oak note then emerge.
• Finish: The long finish combines sweet-and-sour notes with lingering bitterness; lemongrass and honey fade with a touch of smoke.

Distillery/Bottler:

Shiki Shuzo Corporation in Japan’s Hyogo Prefecture produces this bottling.

Milestone Beverages was founded in 2015 and includes Onikishi in its portfolio of independent brands. The company develops wine and spirits brands in collaboration with producers and suppliers in various countries.

The name Onikishi combines the Japanese words “oni”, meaning demon, and “kishi”, meaning knight. The resulting demon knight defines the brand’s visual identity.
