For Toki Black, jazz musicians Terrace Martin and Ryota Nozaki collaborated on two pieces of music. The recordings were made at ONKIO Studio in Tokyo.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals baked apple, oregano and honeysuckle.
• Palate: On the palate, butterscotch sweetness combines with complex notes of clove, cinnamon, lavender and toasted rosemary.
• Finish: The finish is sweet, combining white pepper with ginger and a gentle, lingering smokiness.

Distillery/Bottler:

The House of Suntory’s history in Japanese whisky dates back to 1923. Founder Shinjiro Torii chose Yamazaki for the quality of its water, its distinctive climate and its clearly defined seasons. The house approaches blending as the careful balancing of different components and offers Toki alongside brands such as Yamazaki, Hakushu, Chita and Hibiki.

For Toki Black, The House of Suntory uses Hakushu Peated Whisky and Hakushu Grain Whisky. These components shape its richer, gently smoky character compared with the classic Toki.
