Yamazaki Distiller's Reserve brings together carefully selected whisky components matured in American and Spanish oak, as well as Japanese Mizunara oak. This official bottling is a Japanese single malt at 43% alcohol and complies with the Japan Spirits & Liqueurs Makers Association’s labelling standards for Japanese whisky. The 0.7-litre bottle comes in gift packaging.

Strawberry, cherry and spicy Mizunara oak define the nose. Raspberry and white peach follow on the palate, accompanied by a hint of coconut. The clean, lingering finish combines sweet vanilla with a delicate hint of cinnamon.

Distillery/Bottler:

Shinjiro Torii founded Yamazaki Distillery in 1923 on the outskirts of Kyoto as Japan’s first malt whisky distillery. It stands in a misty valley at the confluence of the Katsura, Uji and Kizu rivers. The soft water and fluctuations in temperature and humidity shape the conditions for cask maturation.

The distillery can produce an unusually broad range of different whiskies at a single site. Throughout fermentation, distillation, maturation and blending, it combines traditional skills with continuous technical development. Yamazaki Single Malt was introduced in 1984 under Master Blender Keizo Saji.
