Franzi turns the classic spaghetti ice cream dessert into a creamy liqueur. Strawberry and vanilla mingle with a cream-like flavour and white chocolate. This limited edition has a revised, vegan recipe: the cream impression is part of its flavour, but the liqueur contains no dairy cream.

The liqueur is gluten-free and lactose-free, but contains soya and colourings. It comes in a 0.5-litre bottle at 15% alcohol. For drinking neat, it is best served ice-cold.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Strawberries stand out clearly on the nose. A creamy scent and white chocolate join them, accompanied by delicate vanilla.
• Palate: The liqueur feels soft and creamy on the palate. Vanilla and strawberry combine with a sweet, cream-like impression and white chocolate.
• Finish: The finish remains soft, creamy and sweet. Strawberry lingers, complemented by a delicate note of white chocolate.

Distillery/Bottler:

Franzi was created by siblings Ann-Katrin and Johann Dallmeyer, who also co-founded the Korn and liqueur brand NORK. Originally from Elmshorn, they launched Franzi in 2021 with a liqueur inspired by Hamburg's Franzbrötchen pastry. They spent almost four years experimenting with its recipe. An initial attempt to macerate the pastry did not satisfy them; only a cream base provided the foundation they wanted for the Franzbrötchen liqueur at that time.

The Franzbrötchen liqueur grew into a range inspired by other desserts, including caramelised almonds and spaghetti ice cream. Balancing familiar flavours is central to the concept: even for the first Franzi, the siblings had to refine the proportions of the individual aromas through numerous trials. Today's spaghetti ice cream edition continues this dessert concept with a vegan recipe.
