The Whisky Wonder World Advent Calendar 2026 is designed as an international comparative tasting in 24 stages. Each sample contains 0.02 litres, giving the set a total volume of 0.48 litres. The reusable magnetic box also contains a nosing glass and an accompanying booklet with illustrations and information about the individual bottlings.

The collection ranges from single malts, blended malt, triple malt and triple grain whiskey to Kentucky bourbon. Bourbon, sherry, wine, rum, chinkapin and ginger beer influences create a broad spectrum of cask profiles. Its sensory range extends from honey, orchard fruit and dried fruit through caramel and dark chocolate to spicy, woody, maritime and smoky accents.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Cotswolds Bourbon Cask opens with sweet malt, honey, ripe apples, pears and vanilla. Smögen 10 y.o. provides a powerful contrast with smoke, sherry, dark dried fruit, orange peel, leather and dry tobacco. Teerenpeli Soidin offers aromas of red berries, concentrated dried fruit, malt and salty liquorice, while Ondjaba Gravino Cask Finish combines spicy smoke with creamy toffee and ripe orange.
• Palate: Cotswolds combines creamy caramel and vanilla with cinnamon, lime, malt and honey. Smögen reveals a dense combination of malt, peat, sherry sweetness, liquorice, bitter chocolate and spicy oak. Teerenpeli Soidin pairs dates, figs, raisins and dark berries with caramelised almonds and oak spice. Ondjaba brings together dark cherries, plums, figs and mandarin with oak and sandalwood.
• Finish: Cotswolds Bourbon Cask finishes with lingering sweetness and malt. Smögen has a long finish of maritime salinity, tobacco and oily spice. Teerenpeli Soidin leaves behind bittersweet chocolate, dark caramel, nuts and raisins, while Ondjaba lingers with oak spice and distinctive smoke.

For the Whisky Wonder World Advent Calendar 2026, Kirsch Import assembles 24 bottlings from different producers as a single tasting set. The concept focuses on direct comparisons between different countries of origin, whisky styles and cask influences: the journey leads from India, China and Japan through numerous European whisky regions to Namibia, New Zealand, Australia and the United States.
