Full maturation in a First Fill White Port Barrique gives this Braeval its dessert-like character. Part of Milroy's Soho Selection, this single malt comes from cask 3947. It was distilled on 2 February 2010 and bottled on 18 February 2026 after 16 years. The cask yielded 313 bottles.

Tiramisu, toffee apple and ginger meet dark coffee and spice notes. The whisky has no added colour and is non-chill filtered. It is bottled at 56.9% in a 0.7-litre bottle and comes without additional gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The whisky initially offers aromas of dark chocolate with strawberry pieces. Honeycomb, lilies and a hint of perfume then emerge. Shoe polish and warm, earthy notes add depth to the rounded nose.
• Palate: The intensity increases on the palate, with dates, prunes, tiramisu, cappuccino and liquorice root shaping the flavour. A rubbery note develops over time. Dandelion and burdock, raisins and aromatic woods complete the profile.
• Finish: Sweet, spicy tiramisu notes linger through the very long finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

Braeval was founded by Seagram's in 1973 and was originally called Braes of Glenlivet. The distillery stands around 350 metres above sea level in Speyside and belongs to Chivas Brothers. Distillation takes place in two wash stills and four spirit stills. Much of its whisky goes into blends such as Ballantine's and Chivas Regal; Braeval is considerably less common as a single malt.

Milroy's of Soho traces its origins to John “Jack” Milroy and his brother Wallace, who opened their shop on London's Greek Street in 1964. Alongside trading in rare whiskies, the company runs its own bottling ranges. Its buying team selects both individual bottles and casks. The Soho Selection features unusual distilleries and cask maturations specifically chosen by the team.
