Special Features:

This anniversary bottling combines considerable age with the distinctive profile of a single cask. The Glenlossie was distilled on 18 November 1992 and matured for 33 years in hogshead #3458 before Signatory Vintage bottled it for the Cask Strength Collection on 25 June 2026. The cask yielded 215 bottles at 54.3% alcohol by volume.

The bottling is part of the Symington's Choice range and was created to mark the 50th anniversary of Kirsch Import. It was neither coloured nor chill-filtered, preserving the colour and character imparted by its maturation in the cask. The bottle comes in a metal tin with a black cylindrical design and orange accents.

This non-smoky single malt combines ripe orchard fruit and honey with malty, spicy and dry oak notes. Vanilla and a slight woody bitterness on the finish complement its long-matured character without overpowering the fruit.

Tasting Notes:

  • Nose: The nose reveals ripe apples and pears with floral honey, creamy vanilla and dried hay, while a delicate trace of white pepper adds a spicy accent.
  • Palate: The whisky is soft and full-bodied on the palate. Sweet pear and malt combine with spicy notes and dry oak.
  • Finish: The finish is long and dry, with honey, subtle fruit sweetness and a delicate woody bitterness.

Distillery/Bottler:

Glenlossie was founded in 1876 by John Duff and his partners in Thomshill, south of Elgin. Built on a hillside, the Speyside distillery originally used the gradient in its production processes. Today, it operates three wash stills and three spirit stills; purifiers return some of the condensed vapours for redistillation, helping to create a spirit that is comparatively light yet structured and oily. Both short and long fermentation times contribute to the distillery's green, grassy house style. As Glenlossie has traditionally been in strong demand for blends, its whisky appears comparatively rarely as a single malt in its own right.

Signatory Vintage was founded in 1988 by Andrew Symington and his brother. The independent company's first bottling was a 1968 Glenlivet. Andrew Symington later took sole control and acquired Edradour Distillery near Pitlochry in 2002; by 2007, Signatory's operations had moved there in full. For this Glenlossie, Signatory selected and bottled the single cask as part of the Cask Strength Collection and the Symington's Choice range.
