Meukow Xpresso brings together Cognac and coffee in a smooth, sweet liqueur. Roasted coffee, charred oak, dark chocolate and bitter orange shape its aromatic profile. Alongside the roasted coffee notes, wood and citrus accents also take a prominent place.

The liqueur can be enjoyed well chilled, used in cocktails or served alongside desserts. This bottling contains 0.5 litres and has an alcohol content of 20%.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Pronounced espresso leads on the nose, with grape-like Cognac notes underneath.
• Palate: On the palate, the coffee recalls a freshly brewed Americano. Sweetness and leathery notes complement it.
• Finish: A mocha-like impression emerges in the finish. The Cognac comes clearly to the fore at the end.

Distillery/Bottler:

Brothers Auguste-Christophe and Gustav Meukow came from Silesia and began travelling to France in 1850 to source brandies. On 1 August 1862, they founded their trading house in Cognac. Since 1979, Meukow has belonged to the family-run Compagnie de Guyenne. The panther became the brand's emblem in 1993 with the bottle designed by Michel Coste.

For the house's Cognac production, cellar master Anne Sarteaux selects the twice-distilled eaux-de-vie and oversees their maturation in oak casks. She then blends different vintages and ages. To create the house style, she primarily combines the floral qualities of Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne with fruity and woody accents from Fins Bois, Bons Bois and Borderies.
