Moustache is a Swiss London Dry Gin bottled at 43%. Its recipe centres on juniper, complemented by lime and orange. Citrus fruit, delicate floral notes and subtle spice accompany its classic juniper character.

The aromatic profile extends beyond juniper and citrus: floral accents, spices, pine nuts and cedarwood add further facets. Despite its smooth, slightly oily texture, the gin remains light on the palate; its rather dry side emerges in the finish.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Intense juniper dominates the nose. Orange peel and fresh lime accompany it, while acacia blossom and elderflower add light floral accents. Nutmeg and cloves contribute further spice.
• Palate: The gin is smooth and light on the palate, with a slightly oily texture and juniper at the forefront. Cardamom, black pepper and cloves add subtle spice. Pine nuts, cedarwood and dried lime complete the flavours.
• Finish: The medium-length finish is rather dry. Orange peel and citrus notes linger alongside subtle juniper.

Distillery/Bottler:

Langatun produces Moustache in the historic Kornhaus granary in Aarwangen. The company's history began in 1857 with Jakob Baumberger's distillery; in 2005, Hans Baumberger III revived the family tradition through the artisanal production of single malt whisky. Moustache is produced and bottled in Switzerland by Langatun.

The 1616 Spirits range was created in 2016 to mark the Kornhaus's 400th anniversary. Its name connects the spirits with the history of the building in which the distillery operates. In 2022, Langatun expanded its portfolio with the Moustache gin range.
