Special features: The Lochlea Distillery Orchard & Oak is a bright, fruit-forward single malt that has matured in a combination of bourbon, virgin American oak, and Calvados casks. This unique cask combination gives it a complex flavor profile that connects to the popular seasonal releases of the distillery and is now available year-round. As a single estate whisky, it is made 100 percent from the distillery's own barley, distilled and matured on-site.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: A wealth of fresh garden fruits, apples, zesty oranges, and "pear-drop" candies. Some brown sugar, toffee, and vanilla fudge in the background.
• Palate: Lush and sweet with burnt caramel and hazelnuts. Still plenty of fruit in the form of fruit compote, along with roasted oats, cinnamon, and cloves.
• Finish: Medium-long with fresh fruits, grain sweetness, and a light spiciness.

Distillery/Bottler: The Lochlea Distillery is an independent farm distillery owned by a family that grows its own barley and uses water from a private spring. Under the leadership of John Campbell, who previously worked at Laphroaig for 27 years, the distillery produces authentic single malts that reflect the character of the region.
