Special Features:

This limited official bottling combines whisky from seven first-fill bourbon barrels: Nos. 99, 103, 104, 105, 107, 108 and 109. All seven barrels were filled in 2018. The whisky matured entirely at Lochlea Farm and was bottled in 2025 at seven years old and 50%. At the time of its release, it was Lochlea’s oldest bottling. It was released without added colour or chill filtration, with an outturn of approximately 2,500 bottles.

The whiskies from the individual barrels contributed pineapple tart, juicy tropical fruit, sweet and creamy fruit, icing sugar, pear, vanilla custard, peach, cereal and oak. Together, they create a profile that is fruity and creamy while also showing a cereal character.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose offers creamy, fruity apple compote.
• Palate: The whisky is full-bodied and creamy on the palate, with tropical fruit, a hint of apple and fresh oak.
• Finish: The very long finish brings butter biscuits, cereal, warming spices and tart slices of green apple.

Distillery/Bottler:

Lochlea Distilling Company Limited produced this single malt at Lochlea Farm near Craigie in Ayrshire. The whisky matured entirely on the farm and was released as an official bottling.

This independent, family-run single-estate distillery grows its own Laureate barley on its 90-hectare farm and distils in two copper pot stills. Former cattle sheds now serve as bonded warehouses, where the whisky matures entirely on site. The first new make spirit flowed in August 2018, and the seven barrels used for this bottling date from that inaugural production year.
