Special Features:

A three-year finish in barriques from Justino's shaped the final phase of this Linkwood's eight-year maturation. The casks came from Madeira producer Justino's, whose history dates back to 1870. Distilled in 2017, this Speyside single malt was bottled by Murray McDavid in 2026 for the Cask Partnership Series at a cask strength of 55.2%. The limited edition comprises 1,228 bottles and is neither coloured nor chill-filtered.

The Madeira finish brings together the whisky's tropical fruit character and nutty sweetness: ripe tropical fruit, toasted almonds and creamy toffee shape the opening. Light-coloured and tropical fruit, vanilla and delicate spice carry the powerful palate, while dark chocolate, lingering sweetness and a gently bitter note remain through the long finish.

• Palate: The whisky is powerful and juicy on the palate, where light-coloured and tropical fruit combine with soft vanilla and delicate spice.

Distillery/Bottler:

The Linkwood Distillery, which distilled this single malt, was founded by Peter Brown on the outskirts of Elgin in 1821. Clear wort, long fermentation and slow distillation with extensive copper contact encourage its light, fragrant distillery character; in the matured whisky, this freshness combines with a denser texture.

Murray McDavid was founded in 1994 by London wine merchants Mark Reynier and Simon Coughlin together with Gordon Wright of Springbank. The bottler soon built a reputation for additional maturation in distinctive casks, particularly wine casks, and is now based at Coleburn Distillery in Speyside. For this release, Murray McDavid completed the maturation in Justino's Madeira barriques and bottled the whisky for the Cask Partnership Series.
