Butterscotch - Pina Colada Liqueur Summer Edition

Volume: 0.5 litres | Alcohol content: 15% | Chill filtration: Yes | Colouring: No

Special Features:

The Summer Edition from Butterscotch combines the pineapple-and-coconut character of a pina colada with butterscotch and a creamy liqueur base. Destille Kaltenthaler uses natural ingredients for this fruity version. The liqueur contains milk and is offered at 15% alcohol in a bottle containing 0.5 litres.

The liqueur can be enjoyed well chilled on its own or over ice, and also works in cocktails and desserts. One suitable combination is the Frozen Coconut Punch: blend the liqueur, pineapple juice, vanilla ice cream and crushed ice, then serve with pineapple pieces.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Pineapple and coconut milk meet delicate caramel notes on the nose, with vanilla remaining a subtle nuance in the background.
• Palate: The liqueur is gentle, sweet and creamy on the palate. Coconut and pineapple combine with the flavour of butterscotch.
• Finish: The finish is soft, rounded and gently sweet, with exotic notes.

Distillery/Bottler:

Butterscotch comes from Destille Kaltenthaler in Westhofen, Rheinhessen. Felix Georg Kaltenthaler runs the family business as a third-generation distiller. He gained his first experience at his parents’ winery, where he was already making his own distilled spirits as a teenager.

Alongside its own brands, the distillery develops spirits for other companies. Its work ranges from small production runs to concepts for grocery retailers, encompassing both product development and production. Its own range includes liqueurs, distilled spirits, gin and Revolte Rum.
