Special Features:

This white Pineau des Charentes combines grape must with Cognac and matures for ten years in oak casks. Vallein Tercinier mainly uses Colombard for the grape juice. The Pineau holds the protected Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée designation and is bottled at 17% alcohol.

It can be served chilled as an aperitif or at room temperature as a digestif. It pairs well with foie gras, blue cheese or desserts. The bottle contains 0.75 litres and comes in gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, herbal and menthol notes mingle with almonds and walnuts. Mango, apricots and candied fruit complete the bouquet.
• Palate: The Pineau is rounded on the palate, with apricots, figs and candied oranges, alongside notes of hazelnut and melon.
• Finish: A light oxidative note emerges on the finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

Vallein Tercinier is based at the Domaine des Forges in Chermignac. Louis Vallein acquired the estate in 1791; Georges Vallein established the trading house in 1850 and began selling bottled Cognac. The family estate thus developed into a business combining winegrowing, distillation and trade.

Production remains closely tied to this location: from distillation to bottling, the house works in Chermignac. This Pineau is also matured and bottled on the estate. The family’s cellar masters have passed down their blending expertise for six generations.
