Special Features:

This 3-litre version contains the same French Grey Goose Vodka at 40% as the regular formats. Its two ingredients are soft winter wheat from Picardy and spring water from Gensac-la-Pallue in the Cognac region. The vodka has a smooth texture.

The wheat is milled at the distillery. Natural enzymes convert the starch into sugar before the mash ferments in a cascade system. It is then distilled once in steel and copper columns. The spirit is brought to drinking strength with spring water that is first naturally filtered through limestone and then treated using double reverse osmosis. Finally, the vodka is filtered once through cellulose and activated carbon.

Every production step, from grain to bottle, takes place in France and is traceable. Alongside 550 quality checks, the process includes a final tasting of every batch before bottling. The large bottle retains the recipe and sensory character of the regular bottling.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Delicate floral notes emerge on the nose.
• Palate: On the palate, the vodka tastes slightly sweet and feels rounded.
• Finish: A pronounced toffee note comes through on the finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

François Thibault developed the production process and oversees it as cellar master. His training in Cognac production shaped the idea of creating a vodka that preserves the character of its ingredients. Grey Goose is distilled in Picardy, then blended with spring water and bottled in the Cognac region.

Sidney Frank and François Thibault founded Grey Goose in 1997. The brand has belonged to Bacardi Limited since its acquisition in 2004. Grey Goose has worked with the same three agricultural cooperatives for its winter wheat since production began; the water comes from its own well in Gensac-la-Pallue.
