Special Features:

Fresh sugarcane juice is at the heart of Clément Blanc. This white rhum agricole is not cask-aged and carries the protected designation of origin AOC Martinique. Several sugarcane varieties are used in its production. It contains 50% alcohol and comes in a bottle containing 1 litre without gift packaging. It contains no colouring and is not chill-filtered.

During the harvest from February to June, freshly cut sugarcane is crushed and pressed. The extracted juice, known as vesou, ferments for 24 to 36 hours in open fermentation vats. The fermented liquid is then distilled to an alcohol strength of no more than 75% to retain as many of its aromas as possible. For a classic Ti' Punch, Clément Blanc can be combined with a piece of lime and a little cane sugar or cane sugar syrup.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals an expressive bouquet of white flowers and citrus fruit, complemented by vegetal nuances.
• Palate: The floral, citrus and vegetal impressions of the nose carry through to the palate with a fresh character.
• Finish: Citrus notes and white flowers linger on the long finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

Habitation Clément on Martinique is the brand's historic centre. Maturation, blending and bottling are carried out at Habitation Clément. Six warehouses holding more than 12,000 casks are available there for the wood-aged rhums. This cask maturation applies to the house's aged bottlings, not to the white Clément Blanc.

Alongside rum production, the estate also preserves the history of the Clément family. Their former home has been a listed historic monument since 1996 and is open to visitors. Cellar master Julien Thimon works with his team and a tasting committee on the house's bottlings.
