Clement VSOP Rum

Volume: 0.7 litres | Alcohol content: 40% | Chill filtration: Yes | Colouring: No

Special Features:

Clément V.S.O.P matures for at least four years in a combination of new oak casks and recharred bourbon casks at Habitation Clément. The aged rhums are blended there. This bottling contains 40% alcohol and comes in a bottle holding 0.7 litres with gift packaging.

Its aromatic range brings together toasted oak and vanilla with candied orange, cocoa and mocha. Herbs, brown sugar, coffee and fruity notes complete the picture. Alongside the influences of cask maturation, the herbal and fruity sides of Rhum Agricole also come to the fore.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, toasted oak, vanilla and spices mingle with floral accents.
• Palate: On the palate, sage, thyme and rosemary meet brown sugar and roasted coffee. Red grapes, mango and banana complement the herbal notes.
• Finish: The finish is long and smooth. Herbs, coffee, fruit and oak linger together.

Distillery/Bottler:

Clément Rhum Agricole is made from fresh sugarcane juice. Distillerie du Simon handles distillation, while maturation, blending and bottling take place at Habitation Clément. Production is therefore split between two locations, with the Habitation responsible for developing and blending the aged rhums.

Yves and Bernard Hayot acquired Habitation Clément in 1986 and carried on the brand, which now belongs to Groupe Bernard Hayot. Since 2018, all Clément rhums have been bottled at the Habitation's new bottling facility.
