Special Features:

Signature is made from small quantities of particularly high-quality rums left in selected casks after other A.H. Riise blends have been assembled. Spirits of different ages and origins are blended into a new assemblage. Its composition depends on the remaining quantities available, giving each edition its own character. The edition bottled in 2022 comprises 2,671 numbered bottles and is a rum-based spirit.

Tropical fruit, coconut and toffee shape its soft underlying character. Candied citrus fruit and apricot add brighter accents, while mint and a hint of eucalyptus refresh the sweetness. The assemblage thus combines dessert-like flavours with cool herbal freshness. It contains tree nuts and comes in a premium box.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, ripe tropical fruits mingle with coconut and creamy toffee. A subtle mint note adds cool freshness.
• Palate: On the palate, a light menthol freshness accompanies toasted coconut and fruity notes of citrus and candied apricot. The texture is velvety.
• Finish: Ripe yellow fruits and caramel remain present throughout the long finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

A.H. Riise is a Danish brand whose Signature editions are created by selecting and blending different rums. Its name commemorates the pharmacist Albert Heinrich Riise, who opened his pharmacy on St. Thomas in the then Danish West Indies in 1838. There, he made alcohol-based preparations and developed his business in West Indian spirits. His products included Bay Rum, a hair elixir based on twice-distilled rum. He presented his blends at the International Exhibition in London in 1862.
