Dictador Gamechanger

Volume: 0.7 litres | Alcohol content: 40% | Chill filtration: Yes | Colouring: No

Special Features:

Bottle design is part of the concept behind Dictador Game Changer: French artist Richard Orlinski reimagines the characteristic Dictador bottle in his angular style, adding a stopper shaped like a Kong head.

The rum is made from sugarcane honey, using both batch-operated pot stills and continuous distillation columns. Maturation takes place on the Caribbean coast; for Game Changer, Dictador draws on old cask stocks from the Parra family's reserve. The rum is bottled at 40% alcohol and comes in a 0.7-litre bottle with gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Maple syrup initially leads the intense, layered aroma. Soon afterwards, hints of Kopiko sweets and caramel join it. Orange peel and orange with cloves provide a fruity, spicy counterpoint; a light alcohol note is also perceptible.
• Palate: The rum feels fresh and balanced on the palate. The impressions from the nose return, while caramel, roasted nuts and honey become more prominent. Dried citrus fruit balances the sweet notes.
• Finish: The long finish remains aromatic and sweet.

Distillery/Bottler:

Dictador has its roots in Cartagena de Indias on Colombia's Caribbean coast. Its rum-making history dates back to 1913. Master Blender Hernan Parra represents the third generation of the Parra family continuing this work. Alongside blending matured rums, the brand develops editions in collaboration with artists and craftspeople.

Richard Orlinski began his artistic career in 2006 with a red resin crocodile. Animal figures, bold colours and faceted surfaces became recurring elements in his sculptures. His works draw on pop-culture motifs and are also exhibited in public spaces. He brings this visual language to the design of Game Changer.
