Honest Venezuelan Rum 15 y.o. - Jack Crap Spirits (JCS)

Volume: 0.7 litres | Alcohol content: 55% | Chill filtration: No | Colouring: No

Special Features:

Honest Venezuelan Rum launches the Jack Crap Spirits rum collection as Single Origin No. 1. It spends its entire fifteen-year maturation in Venezuela in ex-bourbon casks, with no subsequent continental ageing or additional finish. It is distilled in a column still, a continuously operating distillation system.

At 55% alcohol, this bottling combines strength with a smooth character. Its aromatic range includes cocoa alongside vanilla and wood. No sugar, additional flavourings or colouring are added, and it is not chill-filtered.

The packaging materials have also been deliberately selected: the bottle contains at least 95% recycled glass, and the label is made from 95% sugarcane paper. Charcoal and cork are used for the closure.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, vanilla, leather and tobacco meet light citrus notes.
• Palate: On the palate, vanilla and wood combine with dark fruit.
• Finish: Vanilla remains present in the long finish, accompanied by a subtle pepper note.

Distillery/Bottler:

The rum comes from Destilería Sofa in Venezuela, whose history dates back to 1796. Located in the northern part of the country, the distillery uses column-still distillation. Its rums mature in Venezuela's tropical climate.

Jack Crap Spirits is responsible for the Single Origin Collection; this Venezuelan rum is bottled in Germany. The brand clearly discloses added sugar on its labels and offers both unsweetened and sweetened products. For its Single Origin bottlings, the sugarcane comes from the rum's country of origin.
