Special Features:

Two successive stages of maturation in bourbon casks shape this rum from Mauritius. After five years in ex-bourbon casks, it matured for a further three years and four months in first-fill bourbon casks. This second cask stage deepens its fruity, sweet and spicy character. Maturation took place in tropical conditions.

Rum Nation released this limited bottling in 2025, with a worldwide outturn of 1,983 bottles. The rum was bottled at a cask strength of 54.9%, without colouring. It contains no added sweeteners and comes in a 0.7-litre bottle with gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, toffee, caramel and maple syrup mingle with caramelised tropical fruit. Vanilla complements the sweet, fruity aromas.
• Palate: The rum is full-bodied and rounded on the palate. Lime and mint bring freshness to the flavours, while mild spices add a spicy dimension.
• Finish: The long finish brings oak together with banana and mango. A tropical fruit sweetness lingers.

Distillery/Bottler:

Rum Nation is an independent bottler whose history began with Fabio Rossi in 1999. Rossi sought out already-distilled rums from the Caribbean and Central and South America, with their different origins defining the character of the range. The selected spirits were blended and bottled in Italy. The concept combines the selection of rums with distinctive regional identities with carefully directed maturation and cask management. In 2018, the Danish company Mac Y acquired the brand. Rum Nation is responsible for bottling this Mauritius release.
