Description

The young team at Heimat flew out to expand their local range of gins and other spirits with exotic flavors. The distillers struck gold in Guyana, and fine rum from the traditional column still and the world's only wooden pot still found its way to the Heilbronn area. Here, Ramero Rum Cask Selection matures in seven different types of casks (e.g., wine, port, and whiskey) – for a powerful, complex character. This is reflected in aromas such as toasted coconut flakes, seductive dark fruit, and spicy caramel.

Coconut also plays a key role in Ramero Blanco—combined with ripe honeydew melon and creamy-sweet notes. This white rum blend, made from a column still and a small portion of a wooden pot still, is aged for at least six months in Heimat's 1,000-liter stoneware barrels. Micro-oxygenation in the jugs results in a very balanced rum. Ramero Blanco derives its special charm from the addition of a small portion of rum, which has been allowed to rest in a regional wine barrel. The effect: additional richness and harmony.
