Special Features:

Reserva Exclusiva brings together Cuban rums with an average age of fifteen years. The aguardiente, the sugar-cane distillate used in the subsequent blend, first matures for four years. It then forms the basis of rums aged for different lengths of time, which are subsequently blended. The finished blend spends a further six months in cask. Bourbon and sherry casks are used in this three-stage maturation process. Distillation takes place continuously in column stills.

Its character combines dark dried fruit and caramel with nutty and woody notes. On the palate, moderate sweetness is accompanied by a slightly bitter note, while an oily texture and a balsamic impression complement the mature aromatic profile.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose is deep and intense, with prunes and caramel. Mature wood, caramelised toasted notes and raisins complement the slightly sweet aroma.
• Palate: The rum is rich and oily on the palate, with almonds, walnuts and woody notes. The sweetness remains moderate, while a balsamic impression and a gentle, well-integrated bitterness complement the flavour.
• Finish: Vanilla shapes the long, robust finish. A warming, slightly bitter sensation accompanies the lingering aftertaste. Toasted wood adds to a finish that lies between dry and sweet.

Distillery/Bottler:

Tecnoazúcar produces the rum in Cuba. Santísima Trinidad de Cuba is a joint brand of Tecnoazúcar and Destilerías MG S.L. The rums are made in Trinidad under the supervision of the Maestro Ronero responsible for the brand.

A Maestro Ronero oversees production from distillation through blending to bottling. Santísima Trinidad uses selected molasses for its aguardiente and subjects it to a lengthy maturation and purification process. An additional period in cask after blending helps integrate the flavours of the different distillates.
