Special features: The Traspers Panama Rum 15 years is distilled from molasses using the column still method. It then matures for 15 years in fresh American oak barrels as well as in ex-bourbon and former whiskey barrels. This aging takes place in a tropical climate, which supports the development of complex aromas. The brand is inspired by Juan Paz, a distiller's son from Panama, who inherited his passion for rum from his father and initially sold it to sailors and captains at the Panama Canal.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals caramel, vanilla, chocolate, and molasses with toffee. After a short time, roasted aromas of wood, nutty notes of brown sugar, and fruity accents with hints of blackcurrant and a fruitcake with pears and raisins develop.
• Palate: The taste is mild with fruitcake, later spicy notes of ginger emerge. Hints of caramel and nutty notes unfold, accompanied by some marzipan, nougat, and muscovado sugar towards the end.
• Finish: The finish is medium to long, characterized by caramel and a slight nuttiness, along with spicy notes. Facets of chocolate-nut rum chocolate remain creamy and unite with a balanced wood spice that ends in accents of crème brûlée.
