For Peat's Sake brings together peated and unpeated Scotch whiskies matured in selected oak casks. This full-bodied blend combines an earthy character with sweetness and pronounced smoke. This bottling contains 0.35 litres and has an alcohol content of 40%.

The name is a playful reference to Peat, the maltster character: in the story on the back label, he shovels too much peat into the kiln and envelops the distillery in smoke. The tale gives a humorous nod to the whisky's smoky, peaty style.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Peat leads the nose, accompanied by charred oak, vanilla, oat biscuits and sultanas, along with fresh citrus notes.
• Palate: Sweetness and smoke meet on the palate. Toffee with dark sugar syrup, smoked belly bacon and maple syrup mingle with spicy cedarwood notes.
• Finish: The finish feels smooth. Sweet raisins and toasted pecans appear first. These impressions fade into a long, sooty, smoky aftertaste.

Angus Dundee Distillers plc is the company behind For Peat's Sake. Founded in 1950, it distils, blends and bottles Scotch whisky. Its Scottish distilleries include Tomintoul in the Cairngorms National Park and Glencadam in Brechin in the Eastern Highlands.

Angus Dundee keeps whiskies from various distilleries and of different ages in its maturation warehouses. Alongside its own brands, the company develops whiskies for customers' brands and supplies whisky for local bottling. Selecting and bringing together different whiskies is therefore as much a part of its work as producing single malts.
