This Ben Nevis was distilled in 2015, matured for a total of ten years and was finished in Oloroso sherry butts. Signatory Vintage bottled it in 2026 as 100 Proof Edition #80 at 57.1%.

The whisky is non-chill-filtered and contains no added colouring. This preserves the Highland single malt’s natural character; it was bottled at 57.1% in a 0.7-litre bottle.

Dark sherry fruit and roasted notes define the profile. Sultanas and dark raisins meet dark chocolate, espresso and cocoa, while oak and dry spice shape the finish.

• Nose: The nose displays a pronounced sherry character with the dense sweetness of sultanas and dark raisins.
• Palate: On the palate, robust fruit notes combine with dark chocolate and the distinctive roasted character of espresso.

Distillery/Bottler:

Ben Nevis Distillery produced this Highland single malt near Fort William, at the foot of Ben Nevis. John “Long John” MacDonald founded the distillery in 1825; it has belonged to the Japanese company Nikka Whisky Distilling Co., Ltd. since 1989.

Signatory Vintage was founded in Edinburgh in 1988 by Andrew Symington and his brother and operates as an independent bottler. After acquiring Edradour Distillery in 2002, the company had moved all its operations to the distillery’s site in Pitlochry by 2007. For Edition #80, Signatory handled the bottling after finishing the Ben Nevis in Oloroso sherry butts.
