Coole Swan combines single malt Irish whiskey with Belgian white chocolate and fresh Irish cream. Cocoa and vanilla complete the recipe. The liqueur is made exclusively in Ireland and contains 16% alcohol. Its white colour comes from the ingredients themselves; no colouring is added.

The frosted bottle takes its inspiration from 19th-century Irish milk bottles. The small landscape on the front is an artistic depiction of the lake in Coole Park. The design thus echoes the origin of the name, which was inspired by William Butler Yeats's poem “The Wild Swans at Coole”.

Coole Swan can be enjoyed well chilled, neat or over ice, and also works well in cocktails. Refrigeration is recommended after opening.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Distinct notes of dark cocoa and vanilla rise above a soft aroma of fresh cream and chocolate.
• Palate: Cool, creamy chocolate appears first. As it melts in the mouth, a smooth interplay of cocoa and vanilla unfolds with a bittersweet character. The sweetness is not cloying.
• Finish: Malt and chocolate shape the long, clean finish.

Distillery/Bottler:

Coole Swan is an independently run family business. Mary Sadlier leads the company as CEO, while her husband Philip Brady oversees operations. Developing the liqueur involved 231 recipe trials before the desired balance of whiskey, chocolate and cream was achieved. The batches are blended in County Cavan, Ireland.
