The 0.2-litre bottling offers the classic Edradour 10 in a compact tasting format. This Highland Single Malt matures for ten years with sherry influence and is bottled at 40%. It retains its natural colour and is chill-filtered.

Ripe fruit, sweet sherry and vanilla define its character. Toasted almonds and heather complement these impressions, while smoke appears only as a subtle nuance.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals sweet sherry, ripe fruit and vanilla.
• Palate: The palate has a light sweetness reminiscent of rum. Toasted almonds, fruit and heather add to this, accompanied by a hint of smoke.
• Finish: Heather, vanilla and fruit linger on the finish, with an impression of warm baked goods.

Distillery/Bottler:

Local farmers formed a cooperative and founded Edradour in 1825. Andrew Symington took over the distillery in 2002. Located near Pitlochry, the distillery distils its Single Malt, matures it on site and bottles it there.

The traditional production process uses an open cast-iron mash tun, Oregon pine washbacks and two copper pot stills for double distillation. The vapours condense in worm tubs: coiled copper pipes cooled with water from the Edradour Burn. The wort is also cooled with water before entering the washbacks; Edradour uses a historic Morton Refrigerator for this purpose.
