Special Features:

Cask Edit brings together two contrasting sides of Islay: a rich, smoky single malt from the south coast and a fresher, fruitier malt from the north. Whiskies matured in bourbon, sherry and refill casks are selected for the blend. The bottling carries neither an age statement nor a vintage; flavour takes priority when assembling the batches.

At 46%, this blended malt combines sweet coffee and pastry notes with restrained smoke and fruity accents. It is neither chill-filtered nor coloured. Cask Edit can be enjoyed neat or over ice and was also developed for cocktails, such as a whisky highball with soda water.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, the whisky recalls freshly brewed coffee with hot milk. Sugared almonds and white chocolate truffles mingle with light peat smoke. Fresh fruit aromas provide a contrast.
• Palate: The palate is sweet and mineral. Smoke with vanilla notes and woody spice accompanies flavours of freshly baked butter croissants and hot coffee with milk.
• Finish: Light smoke lingers in the sweet finish, accompanied by gentle fruit notes reminiscent of fruit salad.

Distillery/Bottler:

Elements of Islay is a brand of independent bottler Elixir Distillers, co-founded by Sukhinder and Rajbir Singh. Launched in 2008, the range centres on small batches from Islay distilleries. Its limited-edition single malts use distillery codes inspired by chemical element symbols, alongside batch numbers, to identify their origin and release.

Since 2022, Cask Edit, Bourbon Cask and Sherry Cask have complemented the range as its permanent core collection. While the limited-edition single malts focus on individual distilleries, Cask Edit combines the contrasting styles of two Islay distilleries. Head Blender Oliver Chilton is responsible for this blend.
