Special Features:

The 2024 Limited Design edition pairs Glenfiddich’s 12-year-old single malt with a gift tube designed by Raku Inoue. Its nature-inspired artwork is part of the A Gift of Blossoming Futures series. The whisky matures in American bourbon and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. The matured whiskies are then brought together in wooden marrying tuns to rest before bottling.

Fresh orchard fruit leads the flavour rather than rich sherry sweetness. Pear, floral notes and a little citrus shape its bright, fruity side, alongside creamy malt, butterscotch, vanilla, a subtle sherry note and restrained oak. The bottle contains 0.7 litres of whisky at 40% alcohol.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose is fresh and fruity, with pear and floral notes accompanied by honey, a little citrus and fresh malt.
• Palate: The palate is soft and creamy. The fruit becomes more pronounced, joined by developing notes of butterscotch, malt, vanilla, subtle sherry and gentle oak.
• Finish: The long, soft finish stays sweet and fruity, with a slightly oily texture. Vanilla and a dry oak note linger.

Distillery/Bottler:

William Grant began building Glenfiddich Distillery in Dufftown in 1886 with his seven sons and two daughters. Spirit first flowed from its stills on Christmas Day 1887. The distillery remains in the Grant family through William Grant & Sons. Its own coopers look after the casks, while coppersmiths maintain the stills. After cask maturation, the 12-year-old Glenfiddich rests in wooden marrying tuns; the distillery then bottles the whisky itself.
