Special Features:

Grand Château matured for a total of 31 years, including nine years in Bordeaux red wine casks. This exceptionally long finish was a first for Glenfiddich. Before finishing, the Single Malt matured in American and European oak.

Vanilla, blackcurrant and nutty aromas meet caramelised cherries and apples, warm spices and toasted oak. Fruit, floral notes and wood shape this Grand Series release. Glenfiddich collaborated with French artist André Saraiva on its design. The cream-coloured presentation box combines delicate landscape illustrations on the outside with a colourful interior.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: Warm vanilla opens the nose. Ripe blackcurrants, floral notes and a savoury nuttiness gradually emerge. A delicate note of cooked cherries adds to the bouquet.
• Palate: The whisky is rich on the palate. Caramelised cherries and apples mingle with warming spices and toasted oak.
• Finish: The long finish reveals mature, finely polished oak notes. Sweet cooked cherries and red apples are accompanied by cedarwood, cinnamon bark and dried lavender, before vanilla cream and cocoa powder bring it to a close.

Distillery/Bottler:

The Glenfiddich Distillery is located in Dufftown in Scotland's Speyside region and belongs to the family-run company William Grant & Sons. William Grant built the distillery with his nine children; spirit first flowed from its stills on Christmas Day 1887. The company remains wholly family-owned.

Through the Grand Series, Glenfiddich explores distinctive cask finishes. Grand Château combines the Single Malt's long maturation with the influence of Bordeaux red wine casks. Malt Master Brian Kinsman is responsible for this release, an official bottling from William Grant & Sons Limited.
