Special Features:

This single-cask release presents Glenlossie with a fruity, floral character and a sweet, subtly spicy palate. Distilled in 2009, the single malt matured in First-Fill Hogshead 3585 before being bottled by Berry Bros. & Rudd in 2023. The single cask yielded 302 bottles.

The whisky was bottled at 52.3% without chill filtration or added colouring. Its colour therefore comes from cask maturation. The 0.7-litre bottle comes in gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose is supple, bringing together green apples, lavender and delicate bourbon notes.
• Palate: Sweet vanilla sugar sits alongside subtle pumpkin seed notes on the palate. Liquorice and delicate hints of cinnamon round out the flavour.
• Finish: The finish remains pleasantly soft and lingers.

Distillery/Bottler:

Glenlossie lies near Elgin in Speyside and was founded in 1876 with John Duff's involvement. Much of its production goes into blended Scotch whisky, making standalone single malt releases relatively rare. Since 1971, Glenlossie has shared its site with Mannochmore.

A distinctive feature of distillation is the use of purifiers: return pipes carry heavier components that have condensed in the lyne arm back into the still for redistillation. This process contributes to the oily texture of the distillery's style. Long fermentation also encourages grassy notes in the new make spirit.

Berry Bros. & Rudd handled the cask selection and independent bottling for this release. Founded in 1698, the British wine and spirits merchant remains family-owned. Its historic premises are on St James’s Street in London, where the company has operated since its foundation.
