Glenmorangie The Accord combines two separately matured batches of whisky: whisky from bourbon casks is married with whisky from Oloroso sherry casks. Bourbon maturation contributes a soft, fruity character, while the Oloroso-matured whisky adds sweetness and spice. This twelve-year-old Highland Single Malt is bottled at 43% alcohol and is available here in a 1-litre bottle with gift packaging.

Its sweet, fruity profile brings together dried fruit and apple with citrus notes, toffee and vanilla. Milk chocolate, almonds and creamy cappuccino complement these impressions, while wood, leather and subtle spices provide a contrast in the finish.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose opens with raisins, toffee, brown sugar and baked apple. Milk chocolate and orange then emerge, accompanied by vanilla, gentle spice and butterscotch.
• Palate: On the palate, a syrupy texture gives way to impressions of sugared plums, almonds and brown sugar. Further vanilla notes, creamy cappuccino, toffee apple and dates join them.
• Finish: In the finish, hints of wood and leather are followed by subtle spice notes of nutmeg, clove and ginger.

Glenmorangie Distillery is situated in Tain in the Scottish Highlands, where single malt whisky has been produced since 1843. Its particularly tall stills are a defining feature, shaping the spirit's delicate, fruity style. Alongside distillation, cask selection plays an important role: for The Accord, the separately matured bourbon and Oloroso batches are subsequently brought together. The whisky is an official bottling of the Glenmorangie brand.
