Special features: This limited single malt whisky from the renowned Kavalan distillery in Taiwan has been matured in former wine casks made of American oak, which previously contained both red and white wine. These casks were carefully scraped, toasted, and stored outdoors for at least 24 months before being filled to optimally develop the flavors. The bottling is done at cask strength with 57.1% ABV and is limited to 172 bottles.
Tasting Notes:
- Nose: A complex bouquet of ripe fruits such as plums, cherries, and blackberries, accompanied by notes of dark chocolate, roasted oak, and fine spices.
- Palate: Full-bodied and powerful with flavors of juicy berries, plums, and figs, complemented by spicy nuances of cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg.
