Bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks shape this 15-year-old Redbreast. Maturation takes place in American bourbon barrels and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. The selection includes first-fill casks and refill casks previously used to mature whiskey. Together, they emphasise the spicy character of this Single Pot Still Whiskey.

Berry fruit, aromatic oils and juicy fruit notes complement the whiskey's sweet and spicy character.

Redbreast 15 was introduced in 2005 as a limited release before becoming part of the permanent range. The whiskey is bottled at 46% without chill filtration. The 0.7-litre bottle comes in gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: The nose reveals a rich aroma of dried fruit.
• Palate: The whiskey feels smooth and rounded on the palate. Sweet raisins, figs and vanilla combine with pronounced spice notes and toasted wood.
• Finish: The medium-long to long finish brings lively ginger and peppery spice alongside increasingly dry oak. Creamy vanilla softens these dry and spicy impressions.

Distillery/Bottler:

Redbreast is produced at Midleton Distillery in County Cork, Ireland, and bottled by Irish Distillers. It starts with a mash made from malted and unmalted barley. This distinguishes the Single Pot Still Whiskey from a malt whiskey made exclusively from malted barley. The spirit undergoes three distillations in copper pot stills.

Redbreast's history reaches back to the early 20th century. It is one of the few Single Pot Still Whiskey brands to have been produced almost continuously since that time. Redbreast has been part of Pernod Ricard since 1988.
