At its release, Teerenpeli Aged 15 Years was the Finnish distillery's oldest single malt and also celebrated the 30th anniversary of Teerenpeli Group. It is distilled from Finnish malted barley and groundwater from the Salpausselkä ridge. The composition comprises 65% whisky from ex-bourbon casks and 35% whisky from ex-sherry casks. Both portions matured for at least 15 years before the whisky was bottled at 54.9%. The bottle contains 0.5 litres.
Its character brings together caramelised apple and oak with vanilla and caramel. Sponge cake, honey and banana porridge complement its fruity side, which also includes orange peel and Amalfi lemon. The whisky is not smoky, is not chill-filtered and contains no colouring.

The family-run Teerenpeli Distillery began producing whisky in Lahti in 2002. Its original distillery is located in the Taivaanranta restaurant in the city centre. It uses traditional pot stills made in Scotland. Finnish malted barley and Salpausselkä groundwater are the raw materials for this 15-year-old single malt, released as an official Teerenpeli bottling.
In 2015, a larger distillery was added at Teerenpeli Brewery in Lotila; the original site was retained for distillation and product development. The distillery works closely with the brewery. Jaakko Joki oversees whisky production from the selection of malted barley through to bottling and participates in cask selection. The distillery's own cask stocks, built up over the years, made it possible to mature this anniversary release for at least 15 years.
