The Dundee Vintage Reserve brings together selected single malts and grain Scotch whiskies, each matured in oak casks for at least ten years. The age statement therefore applies to every whisky in the blend, not just selected components. Combining different malt and grain whiskies creates a smooth, balanced Scotch.

Chocolate, honey and baking spices are central to this whisky's flavour. It is bottled at 40% in a 0.7-litre bottle and offered without gift packaging.

Tasting Notes:

• Nose: On the nose, milk chocolate and gingerbread meet vanilla and honey. Ginger and caramel add to the sweet, spicy aromas.
• Palate: On the palate, honey and maple syrup mingle with a subtle note of baking spices. Candied fruit, chocolate cake and spicy gingerbread complete the flavours.
• Finish: The long finish reveals a delicate walnut bitterness alongside coffee and caramel notes.

Distillery/Bottler:

Angus Dundee Distillers is the company behind The Dundee. It has its own maturation warehouses holding whiskies of different origins and ages, and works with both its own brands and bespoke bottlings. Selecting and blending malt and grain whiskies is therefore as much a part of its business as distillation.

Angus Dundee owns the Tomintoul and Glencadam distilleries in Scotland. Tomintoul is situated in the Cairngorms National Park, while Glencadam is in Brechin in the eastern Highlands. Both have their own single malt ranges.
