Tasting Notes:
- Nose: Intense aromas of juicy red apples, fragrant blackberries, and ripe sultanas, accompanied by sweet notes of caramel wafers, Demerara sugar, and fine spices like cinnamon and ginger.
- Palate: Powerful flavors of blackcurrants and spiced pears, complemented by rich vanilla toffee, sticky dates, and raisins. A hint of oak spice and star anise adds depth and complexity.
- Finish: Medium-long, fruity, and syrupy with fine spicy accents that reflect the influence of sherry cask maturation.
Distillery/Bottler: The Aberlour Distillery was founded in 1879 by James Fleming in the heart of the Scottish Speyside. Its motto "Let the Deed Show" continues to shape the distillery's self-understanding to this day. Known for full-bodied single malts with a pronounced sherry cask character, the A'Bunadh Collection is bottled in small batches and forgoes chill filtration and coloring.
